Established in 1988, The European Fine Art Foundation (TEFAF) is widely regarded as the world’s preeminent organization for fine art, antiques, and design. TEFAF produces two fairs internationally—TEFAF Maastricht, which presents over 7,000 years of art history, and TEFAF New York, focused on modern and contemporary art and design. For the Maastricht and New York 2023 edition, Design & Practice created an identity which celebrates all of the incredible works of art visible at the fairs, to capture the essence of TEFAF, its grandeur, elegance and magnificence.

TEFAF is a not-for-profit foundation that champions expertise and diversity in the global art community, evidenced in the exhibitors selected for its two fairs, which take place annually in Maastricht and New York. TEFAF acts as an expert guide for both private and institutional collectors, which inspires lovers and buyers of art everywhere.
This is the third year Design & Practice works alongside TEFAF, each year pushing the boundaries further and bringing TEFAF into the spotlight with its unique identity. Design & Practice helps TEFAF translate their heritage of outstanding art and antiquities into a creative vision for digital, print and city advertising that exceeds the high expectations of their audience.
Design & Practice created a visual identity which gives viewers a unique way to interact with art pieces that can be found at the fair. The campaign for TEFAF New York was created as a continuation to the campaign for TEFAF Maastricht, which happened earlier this year, to create a relationship between the two editions of TEFAF’s fairs. Using the idea of a lens that travels over works of art to bring forward details in the work, a suite of animated assets was created to bring art and antiquities into a contemporary digital brand campaign.
TEFAF is widely regarded as the world’s premier fair for fine art, antiques, and design, bringing together 7,000 years of art history under one roof. Featuring over 260 prestigious dealers from some 20 countries, TEFAF is a showcase for the finest art works currently on the market. Alongside the traditional areas of Old Master paintings, antiques, and classical antiquities that cover approximately half of the fair, you can also find modern and contemporary art, photography, jewelry, 20th century design and works on paper.
Each edition of the fair also had a number of printed assets for visitors: invitations, magazines, gift bags, floor plans, flyers, and more. the campaign was translated through a physical items
